Abstract: The cultural material is heaped, and its humidity and temperature, the frequency and time of turnover of the cultural material are appropriatly controlled, in order to induce the harmfull germs in it to be changed from resting sporophyte to vegetative growth bodies, so that the germs resistance to high temperature turns low. Then the cultural material is sterilized at normal pressure and for a short time, in the result all of the harmfull germs are killed, Therefore the ster ilizatioa treatm}at is divided into two steps-inducing the germs to produce spores and then killing them. This is a new method for sterilization of the cultural material. It is an effective measure to avoid contamination of edible fungi from harmfull germs at stage of spore germination.

Key words: Edible fungi cultur, Inducing sterilization, Sterilization at normal pressure
