Abstract:
The results of ecological experiments for the wheat in 1983-1985 at Shijia-zhuang indicated that the some varieties of winterness wheat greatly differed in the protein contents of the grains in various sowing times-of the year. The protein contents in grains of spring wheat were higher than that of winter wheat. The climatic conditions exerted greatly influence to the protein contents in wheat grains.Higher average day temperature, higher night temperature and longer daytime in period from florescence to maturation could raisethe protein contents in wheat grains. The average day temperature in this period is a determinant factor for the protein contents.
