Abstract: Hypocotylar explants of Onobrychis viciaefolia Scop were cultured on LS basal medium-supplemented with 1 mg/l BA, 1mg/l KT. Two weeks after of culture calli were initiated on the surface of sections. Light-yellow callus from one explants was selected and proliferated on LS medium. And then it transferrated to somatic embryo induction medium(LS basal medium with lmg/1 BA). Contact embryogenic calli containing a large number of globular embryos were found after 15 days of embryogenic culture, but only a few globular embryos can develop normally. Another new possible pathway for in vitro development is. buds and roots were formed on the surface of globular-like structure and it is different from normal organogenesis because of its individual structure.
