Abstract:
In this research,the path analysis and hereditary analysis for eleven characters excluding emergence rate,emergence index,electralyte leakage etc.,which have relations with the chilling tolerance of maize seedlings were done using fifteen F1 of combinations of six maize inbred lines in 6×6 uncom-plete diallel crossing.The results indicated that:of all the assayed characters,emergence rate,emergence index,the fresh weight of seedlings and dry material growth had direct effects and the dry weight of seedlings,the weight of hundred seeds,electralyte leakage and tissue activity had indirect eggects on the chilling tolerance of maize seedlings.In heredity,the four characters,emergence rate,emergence index seedlings dry weight and dry materia’;rowth,were mainly affected by additive effect;According to the above results,we advanced that all the above characters should be taken as improving targets of chilling tolerance breeding in maize.
