Abstract: The study was conducted on effects of different urea2nitrogen levels on nutritional growth and physiologicalcharacteristicsof tobacco seedlings in the floating system,in the experimental station of Henan Agricultural Universityduring 2001 - 2002. The results showed that it had no bad effects on nutritional growth and physiological characteristics oftobacco seedlings in the floating system for the treatment of 15 % urea2nitrogen. When the contents of urea2nitrogen were75 %,tobacco seedlings growth was obviously restrained, photosynthesis and the NR activity reduced, the root absorbing a2bility dropped than CK.
