Abstract: Saturated hydraulic conductivities( K10 ) of 3 sodic soil profiles were determined. The results showed that K10was very low with ranging from 0.02 mm/d to 0.19 mm/d for original soils and K10 of disturbed surface soils ranges from 0.05 mm/d to 0.80 mm/d with soil bulk density ranging of 1.08-1.50 g/cm3.The saturated hydraulic conductivity of sodic soil in Songnen Plain was so low that the leaching of soluble salts will be restricted by low profile permeability. And soil salinity of sodic soil in Songnen Plain was very high. Therefore, further study of relationships between salts leaching and saturated hydraulic conductivity of sodic soils in Songnen Plain is needed.
