Abstract: Neteistoxin oxalate belongs to a new type of insectcide.Based on the results of three years in laboratory and field experiments,it was found that nereistoxin oxalate is a very effective insecticide, especially against rice striped borer(Chilo Suppressalis)and Yellow Stem borer(Tryporyza incertulas). The efficacy of this insecticide, used at the rate of effective ingredient 0.75 kg/ha,is equivalent to carlap,Evisect, dimebypo and bancol, and the mechenism of action is the same.Nereistoxin oxalate is a promising compound to control rice pests which are resistant to oragnochlorine, organophosphorus and carbamate insectcides.

Key words: Insectcide, Rice pests, Nereistoxin
