Abstract: In most species the conidiogcnous cell is a phialide,a polyblastic cell occurs on certain species only. Both of them are the chief types of conidioge.nous cell in the genus.F usarium solani,F oxys porum and A.momliforme are phialides, while F.semitectumis polyblastic. All those types have been studied. The developmental mode of phialide is characterized by its stable shape and width after full growth and the length elongates continously, until it reaches most reproductive period. In polybiastic cell, the whole cell increases in size before sporogenous period. In sporogenous period, conidiogenous sites rise successively, and its length elongates continously. As it approaches to certain degree of size the polyblastic cell ceases its enlargement.

Key words: Conidiogenous cell, Phialidc, Polyblastic cell
