Abstract: Carbofuran is a kind of high residue, high toxicity, difficult degradation organic pesticide, which is widely used in China and often caused human and animal poisoning and environmental pollution. We isolate one strain carbofuran-degrading bacterium from the soil of perennial using carbofuran by enrichment separation method. It was identified as Achromobacter sp according to its biochemical characteristics, morphology and 16 S rDNA molecular biology appraisal. The results of the degrading tests showed that the preliminary culture conditions were temperature 30℃,pH 7.0 and inoculation quantity 10%.It degraded carbofuran in the rate of 95% for 3 days.

Key words: Carbofuran, Degradation, Achromobacter
