Abstract: In Inner Mongolia steppe, the paper studied the changes of soil nitrogen in sheep urine patches, the results indicated:Urine addition increased soil NH4+-N concentrations immediately, but did not increase soil NH3--N concentrations significantly(p<0.05) 7 d.Adding urine significantly(p<0.01) increased soil NH4+-N concentrations and had the maximum at day 3th.Before 7 d soil NH3-N was significantly(p<0.05) lower than those of the control, but increased significantly(p<0.01)after 7 d.Soil NH4+-N was significantly(p<0.05) higher than soil NH3--N before 35 d,but soil NH3--N was significantly(p<0.05) higher than soil NH4+-N after 35 d.After urine addition soil microbial biomass N(MBN) increased and had the maximum 35th,soil microbial biomass N was significantly(p<0.05)higher than the control in layer 0-5 cm and 5-10 cm,but no significant difference in layer 10-20 cm(p<0.05).Urine addition significantly(p<0.05) increased extractable soil organic N(ESON) concentrations and had the maximum at 7 d.There were significant positive correlations between soil inorganic nitrogen and soil extractable soil organic N and soil microbial biomass N(p<0.05,p<0.01),but no significance between soil extractable, soil organic N and soil microbial biomass N(p>0.05).
