瘦素的生物学功能及其调控

摘要: 瘦素是一种由白脂肪细胞分泌的大小为16 kDa的蛋白质激素,其主要功能主要与动物的摄食、能量代谢、繁殖以及对啮齿类动物及人能量平衡的调节等有关。瘦素的合成与分泌受到进食量、性别、能量摄入量、饮食构成、运动、激素等众多因素的调节。本文论述了瘦素的生物学功能及其调控机制。

Abstract: Leptin, a 16 kDa protein secreted from white adipocytes, has been implicated in the regulation of food intake, energy expenditure, and whole-body energy balance in rodents and humans. Leptin is thought to be a metabolic signal that regulates nutritional status effects on reproductive function. The role of intake, energy and hormones in the regulation of leptin expression and secretion is emerging. This review evaluated latest development about biological function and mechanism of regulation.
